about Felicia.

Felicia Betts is a classically-informed singer, musical theatre enthusiast, and private vocal teacher residing in Jersey City, New Jersey. Felicia holds a Master of Music in Voice Performance and Pedagogy and a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance from Westminster Choir College (Lawrenceville, New Jersey).

Felicia Betts Voice is where students can uncover their authentic voice and cultivate their artistry. With a genuine passion for guiding vocal and artistic growth, Felicia is committed to providing engaging lessons, classes, and performance opportunities that empower her students!

​Felicia's goal is to help her students become well-rounded musicians and performers who will ultimately develop a toolbox of skills to conquer any musical goal.

At Felicia Betts Voice Studio, Felicia is dedicated to empowering vocalists of all levels to discover and embrace their authentic voices through evidence-based instruction, collaboration, and personalized support. Drawing from expertise in vocal pedagogy, vocal health, and holistic practices such as mindfulness, yoga, and voice therapy, Felicia creates a nurturing environment where students can explore their artistry, develop independence, and achieve their musical goals. Committed to fostering a community of lifelong learners and performers, she invests in education, provides need-based scholarships, and champions the belief that every voice has the power to inspire and connect!

At Felicia Betts Voice Studio, community is at the heart of the learning experience. Felicia fosters a supportive, collaborative environment where students can grow together, sharing insights, challenges, and victories along their vocal journeys. The studio encourages connection, allowing individuals to learn not only from their own practice but also from the experiences of their fellow singers. It’s a place where every voice is celebrated, and each unique path is respected, making it a welcoming space for both personal and musical growth.

Felicia’s Community

Felicia, a dedicated voice researcher, has been honored to present her work at esteemed voice conferences, including the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) 2022 conference and the Voice Foundation's 51st and 52nd Annual Symposiums.

Voice science profoundly shapes her teaching philosophy and methodology. Bridging the gap between theory and practice, she equips her students with a deeper understanding of the mechanics and nuances of the voice. Through this holistic approach, Felicia guides and supports her students, fostering exceptional vocal growth and artistic expression.

Alongside her research, Felicia plays an active role in NATS, contributing to the organization’s philanthropic efforts. As the Regional Development Liaison Coordinator and Eastern Region Development Liaison on the Advancement Committee, she helps coordinate development initiatives across the organization and oversees quarterly development reports, advancing philanthropy and expanding the association’s regional and national influence.

This is Felicia’s graduate recital, a program that represented the culmination of her graduate studies in voice—featuring music by Alma Mahler, Francis Poulenc, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and Samuel Barber. Please refer to the program for translations.
