  • Yes! Felicia has taught online lessons since 2020 and in-person since 2023, with identical results.

She has found that online lessons offer unique benefits, including fostering greater learning independence, especially for younger students, and encouraging stronger musicianship skills.

  • Practice time depends on the student's goals, age, and the amount of time they're willing to commit. Felicia understands that lessons may be for personal enjoyment rather than aiming for a Broadway career. That's why she collaborates with each singer to develop effective practice habits tailored to their unique goals.

  • Felicia always adjusts the lesson structure as needed to accommodate each person’s unique needs and ensure their individual progress. However, Felicia’s lessons typically focus on exploring different sounds, building basic techniques, learning to read music, and developing confidence.

Each session begins with stretching, movement, or mindfulness exercises to help find relaxation and focus. She then moves on to vocal warm-ups, followed by technical exercises aimed at developing specific vocal skills related to the student's songs.

Finally, the lesson transitions to working through the songs themselves, applying the techniques learned.

  • Felicia hosts about two recitals a year, with at least one being virtual. She also offers masterclass opportunities, bringing in other professionals to teach. Additionally, she attends NATS audition events and submits her students for the NJ chapter auditions (and potentially the NYC chapter) as well as the Eastern Region. You can learn more about NATS auditions here.

  • The Introductory Lesson offers an in-depth look at your vocal abilities, combining assessment with your first lesson. It’s a great way to discuss your strengths, music interests, and set goals for your singing journey. After the consultation, you'll dive into your first lesson with Felicia.

This is perfect for singers of all levels who are ready to start and want to experience Felicia’s teaching style.
